BDS ग्रेजुएट्स और MDS डिग्री/पीजी डिप्लोमा धारकों के लिए दन्त-चिकित्सा स्क्रीनिंग टेस्ट को स्क्रीनिंग टेस्ट विनियम, 2009 के माध्यम से प्रस्तावित किया गया था। The Dental Screening Test (FDST) for BDS Graduates and MDS Degree/PG Diploma holders has been introduced through Screening Test Regulations 2009

विनियमों के अनुसार, “भारत से बाहर किसी भी दन्त-चिकित्सा संस्थान द्वारा प्रदत्त प्राथमिक दन्त-चिकित्सा योग्यता/पीजी डिप्लोमा/पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट दन्त-चिकित्सा योग्यता प्राप्त भारतीय नागरिक या भारतीय मूल का व्यक्ति (पीआईओ) या भारत का प्रवासी नागरिक (ओसीआई) जो आधिकारिक राजपत्र में इन विनियमों के प्रकाशन की तिथि पर या के बाद किसी भी राज्य दन्त-चिकित्सा परिषद के साथ पंजीकरण पाने या समय-समय पर भारतीय दन्त-चिकित्सा द्वारा निर्दिष्ट किसी अन्य प्रयोजन की इच्छा रखता है, को दन्त-चिकित्सा अधिनियम, 1948 के प्रावधानों की धारा 10(4) या 10(5), जैसी भी स्थिति हो, के अनुसार उस प्रयोजन के लिए निर्धारित प्राधिकरण द्वारा आयोजित स्क्रीनिंग टेस्ट में आहर्ता प्राप्त करनी होगी।” As per the regulations, “An Indian citizen or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) possessing a primary dental qualification/PG Diploma/Post Graduate Dental qualification awarded by any dental institution outside India, who is desirous of getting registration with any State Dental Council or of any other purpose as specified by the Dental Council of India from time to time, on or after the date of publication of these regulations in the official gazette, shall have to qualify a screening test conducted by the prescribed authority for that purpose as per the provisions of section 10(4) or 10(5) of the Dentist Act, 1948, as the case may be”.

एनबीईएमएस की भूमिका विदेशी दन्त-चिकित्सा स्क्रीनिंग टेस्ट के आयोजन, परिणाम की घोषणा और परिणाम को भारतीय दन्त-चिकित्सा परिषद (डीसीआई) को सौंपने तक सीमित है। एनबीईएमएस की दस्तावेज़ सत्यापन और पात्रता निर्धारण में कोई भूमिका नहीं है; यह डीसीआई के अंतर्गत आता है। The responsibility of NBEMS is limited to the conduct of Foreign Dental Screening Test, declaration of the result and handling of the result to Dental Council of India (DCI). NBEMS has no role in document verification and eligibility determination; these shall be undertaken by DCI.

Candidates are advised to refer to the website of Dental Council of India (https://dciindia.gov.in) for the Screening Test Regulations, 2009 & all its amendments, and any other updates related to the Screening Test for Foreign Dental Graduates.
