National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), celebrated its 42nd Foundation Day on 28th June 2023 at its Silver Jubilee Auditorium in Dwarka Office. Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Hon'ble Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare & Chemicals and Fertilizers graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel, Hon'ble Minister of State, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India was the Guest of Honour.

The Hon'ble Minister inaugurated several new reforms by NBEMS in the field of medical education initiated under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Abhijat Sheth, President Governing Body NBEMS. These included launch of new FNB and Diploma courses, NBEMS Examination Command Centre, Centre for Computer Based Tests, Joint accreditation, Skill Lab empanelment programme and NBEMS Medical Library for the advantage of NBEMS accredited hospitals and the trainees.

Prof V K Paul, Member (Health), NITI Aayog and Dr K Hariprasad, President, Hospitals Division at Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd were conferred with the President NBEMS Award of Excellence. Nari Shakti of NBEMS and employees of NBEMS were also conferred with various awards and honours.Prof. Minu Bajpai, Honorary Executive Director & Vice President NBEMS in his address briefed about the journey of NBEMS in the last 04 decades. Dr. Abhijat Sheth, President NBEMS in his address informed about the future vision of NBEMS. Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel also felicitated the toppers of NEET-PG 2023 and NEET-MDS 2023. The students were overwhelmed by interacting with the Hon'ble ministers and other dignitaries. A cultural programme was also organized by NBEMS on this occasion.
