           Prof.  (Dr.)  Shishta  Nadda  Basu  (commonly  known  as  Dr.  S.N.  Basu)  is  a  legendary  obstetrician,
           gynecologist, and infertility specialist with over 46 years of clinical experience. Currently serving as the
           Principal Director and Head of Department at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, New
           Delhi, she is widely recognized as a "founding force" of modern IVF and endoscopic surgery in India.

           Her career is defined by a decade of high-level academic teaching in UK Teaching Hospitals, which laid
           the  foundation  for  her  global  perspective  on  clinical  excellence.  In  1992,  she  was  instrumental  in
           establishing the first MRCOG training course in India, bridging the gap between Indian and British
           medical standards.

           National Leadership & Academic Influence
       •  NBEMS Governance: As a member of the Governing Board of the National Board of Examinations
           in Medical Sciences, she actively shapes the curriculum and standards for postgraduate medical education.
           She is also the Chairperson of NBEMS Professional Committee for Communication Skill Development.
       •  Specialist Advocacy: She is the Founder President of the Society for Communication in Healthcare,
           India, and has served as the Vice President of the Indian Fertility Society (IFS).
       •  Medical Council Roles: A key member of the Health Sector Skill Council (Academic Committee) and
           the Central Academic Council of Max Healthcare.

                  UK, recognizing her as a global leader in her field.

                  surgical and clinical acumen.
              ❖  National Merit Scholarship (1967): Conferred by the Government of India, marking the start of

                  eminence.
              ❖  Academic Excellence: A multi-time recipient of the Excellence Award (Clinical & Academic)
