Dr. Rakesh Sharma is a highly proficient, result-oriented, and motivating leader blessed with multi-faceted
talent and exceptional directorial skills. As the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the President of the
National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), Dr. Sharma is a cornerstone of the
institution’s mission to elevate medical education and healthcare in India to a global high.

Deeply passionate and committed, he employs a unique blend of basic grounding in commerce, a keen
understanding of budgetary planning, and expertise in data analysis to drive institutional growth. His core
strengths lie in project auditing, human resource development, and hospital management, all of which are
instrumental in advancing postgraduate medical education to even the remotest districts across the country.

Dr. Rakesh Sharma is widely recognized for his proficiency in creating strategic policy blueprints and
standard operating procedures (SOPs). His hard and determined endeavours have led to significant
achievements. His work has led to the successful adoption of a large number of district and sub-district
hospitals in the hinterland of Rajasthan, creating better healthcare facilities for rural populations. He excels
in first-rate project planning, execution, and management, developing robust mechanisms to monitor and
evaluate newly structured programs. He is well-networked with policy makers and higher echelons in
medical education and infrastructure development, facilitating the fulfilment of institutional objectives.
His role in CPR Awareness Program and Training in Artificial Intelligence has been acknowledged
throughout the country.

With more than two decades of tireless service to the nation, Dr. Sharma has been honored with several

❖ Global Academic Milestones: Awarded a Guinness World Record for the "Most viewers of an
Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare lesson live stream on YouTube," a testament to his commitment
to digital integration in medicine.
❖ NBEMS Presidential Medal of Merit was conferred on 10th May 2024 at Vigyan Bhawan, New
Delhi by Hon’ble President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu
❖ President Appreciation Award (2022-23) by Indian Medical Association at the 98th All India
Medical Conference held at Kerala on 28th December 2023.
