The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) operates on a
transformative blueprint designed to fortify India’s specialist and super-specialist medical
workforce. By pioneering a robust, innovative, and cost-effective postgraduate teaching model,
it optimizes existing high-quality healthcare infrastructure that offers immense clinical exposure.
This strategy leverages the expertise of erudite, highly skilled clinicians who serve as both
practitioners and mentors. The central theme involves the strategic utilization of large established
hospitals, where vast patient volumes and experienced faculty provide an ideal training ground
for residents.
To fulfill this mission, NBEMS has established a widespread network of accredited
