About the 23^rd Convocation of NBEMS

The 23^rd Convocation of the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is a prestigious academic ceremony being organized to confer the postgraduate and postdoctoral medical qualifications upon successful candidates of DNB, DrNB, FNB and NBEMS Diploma courses from across the country.

The 23^rd Convocation of NBEMS is scheduled to be held on 23^rd May 2026 at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi, in the gracious presence of Sh. J.P. Nadda, Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilisers along with other distinguished dignitaries, faculty members, healthcare leaders and invited guests.

The Convocation ceremony serves as a platform to celebrate dedication, perseverance and commitment of newly qualified post graduate and postdoctoral medical professionals who shall contribute significantly to healthcare services in India and beyond. Overall, the convocation ceremony symbolizes not only academic accomplishment but also the commitment of newly qualified doctors to serve society with competence, ethics, and dedication.

The convocation marks an important milestone in the professional journey of candidates who have successfully completed their prescribed training and qualified the respective exit examinations in various specialties and super-specialties.

A total of 26,396 candidates shall be conferred with degree certificates during the 23^rd Convocation ceremony. Further, 137 Gold Medallists shall be honoured in recognition of their outstanding academic excellence and meritorious performance. Candidates who have been declared as Gold Medal winners are invited to the Award Ceremony to receive their Gold Medals and degree certificates in-person.

Candidates are required to complete all registration formalities through the official Convocation Portal within the stipulated timeline.

The candidates of the following sessions who have qualified DNB, DrNB, NBEMS Diploma and FNB Exit examinations shall be conferred with degree in the 23^rd Convocation:
