Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Guindy,
CChennai, Dr. Sudha Seshayyan is an eminent
administrator, anatomist, academician, teacher and
mentor. She also has a fond interest in literature,
oriental studies and fine arts.
Besides being on the editorial board of Gray’s
Anatomy and Atlas of Clinical Gross Anatomy, Dr.
Sudha Seshayyan has authored multiple works in
literature, spirituality, history, biography and social
values.
She sits on the institute bodies of Jawaharlal
Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and
Research, Pondicherry; and All India Institute of
Medical Sciences, Madurai; and is on the expert
Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education
and Research, Chennai. She is a Visiting Professor
– Researcher, Federal University of Mato Grosso,
Cuiaba, Brazil; Honorary Professor, Department of
Oriental Studies and Fine Arts, SASTRA University,
Thanjavur; and member of the screening committee
for Tagore National Fellowship and Scholarship,
Kalakshetra.
Dr. Sudha Seshayyan is a recipient of the
Vachaspathi Award (2022), the India Icon Award
(2020), Viswakavi Rabindranath Tagore Memorial
Award (2020), Best Doctor Award, Government of
Tamil Nadu (2018), Sollin Selvar Award (2015), and
Kalaimamani Award (2005).
