20th Convocation - Guidelines
INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES
The 20th Convocation of NBE shall be held at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, 15 Janpath, New Delhi on 24th December 2019. Candidates who have qualified DNB /FNB examinations of the following sessions shall be conferred with degree in this Convocation:
Amongst the candidates, who has been declared as Gold Medal winner are invited in the Convocation to receive their Gold Medals and degree certificates in person. Invited candidates are requested to go through instructions as given below for ensuring smooth conduct of the Convocation ceremony:
- Reporting time: 08:00 AM at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre,
15 Janpath, New Delhi
- Entry is permissible in Dr. Ambedkar International Centre only with the invitation card.
- Candidates are requested to carry any of the following original and valid ID proof for security reasons:
- Aadhaar Card (With photograph)
- Driving License
- Voter ID
- PAN card
- Passport
- Once the candidates are inside the venue
they will have to go to the Registration Counters which will be set up by NBE.
- Candidates will have to register at the Registration Counter and obtain Identity-cum-Receipt Slip.
- Candidates will not be allowed entry in the Auditorium Bhima of Dr. Ambedkar International Centre without the Identity-cum-Receipt Slip.
- After registration candidates will have to obtain their Convocation dress (Gowns) from the designated counter upon deposition of security money.
- Thereafter the candidates will have to be present in the Auditorium Bhima by 09:30AM for a full dress rehearsal. Gold Medalist candidates should attend the rehearsal to facilitate orderly conduct of Convocation. The candidates for admission to the Gold Medal & Degree in person must be present at the rehearsal where there will be a roll call. They must remain in their seats in the convocation hall till the rehearsal is over.
- Arrangements shall be made by NBE for Tea/snacks and Lunch for the participating candidates and their invited guests.
- The male candidates should appear in high-buttoned-up coats with trousers (National Dress) or trousers with coat and necktie. The female candidates should wear sarees with blouse or shirt with salwar/chooridar/pyjamas.
- Candidates will have to make their own arrangements for their travel and stay at New Delhi. National Board of Examinations will not be able to make such arrangements for the candidates.
- Gold Medalist candidates who are unable to attend the convocation in person, their Gold medal, Gold medal certificate and degree shall be dispatched at their registered address.
