Subject: - Applications for Grant of Accreditation – Diplomate National Board (DNB)
National Board of Examinations (NBE) is an organization of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. NBE grants accreditation to medical colleges/institutions/ hospitals having requisite faculty and infrastructure for training at Post Graduate/ Post Doctoral Level in the field of modern medicine.
NBE conducts examinations of high standard at National Level leading to the award of Diplomate National Board (DNB) degree qualifications.
The applications for grant of Renewal / Fresh Accreditation in various specialties may be submitted and the desirous institutions may note that:
(i) For Renewal of accreditation - all hospitals/ institutes whose accreditation is expiring in June 2012/December 2012 are required to submit their applications latest by 31st January 2012.
(ii) For Grant of fresh accreditation- Applications received by 31st January 2012 shall be processed during 2012 (for July 2012/January 2013 admission cycles)
For details such as criteria for accreditation, guidelines, accreditation fees, instructions for submission of application form etc.; Desirous medical colleges/institutions/ hospitals are required to refer to the information bulletin cum application form available at NBE website www.natboard.edu.in.
